San Diego sued over Comic-Con murals
CaptainObvious - Unfortunately this doesn't appear to be a fight over the definition of "Advertisement vs. Art," rather a fight about our City government's selective law-enforcement and unconstitutional cronyism. If the City were enforcing our "guidelines," "fees," and sign code laws equally, they wouldn't be in this embarrassing mess. Shame on the City of San Diego. They deserve what's coming to them. San Diego sued over Comic-Con murals
It sure sounds like another example of fascist, preferential treatment of the "too-big-to-fails" over the little man - or in this case, woman. The city of San Diego looks to be respecting or ignoring the laws depending on whether they're financially beneficial to them - and that, ladies and gentleman, is a crime against the public. Allowing a few high-rolling customers to skirt the law for a week or two with their profitable Comicon draperies is a premeditated violation of the stated law. The fact that they prosecuted "the little man" (er, woman) at the same time, is going to bring these City crooks down... and rightly so. "Comicon 2015 - NOW IN LOS ANGELES"— April 2, 2014 10:12 p.m.
