Ken Cinema remains a Landmark in every sense
This news made my week! Thanks so much. And I'm thrilled that it will remain a Landmark theater. I don't think the general public realizes how fortunate we are here in San Diego to have not one but three Landmark theaters in the county. Some lucky cities have one. Many don't have any. There are so many wonderful films that have been released over the decades that have never hit a local movie theater in so many cities. 95% of all the films that I see are Landmark films. Realize what we might have lost and take advantage of going to the Ken often!— April 25, 2014 8:50 a.m.
Provisions, Soda & Swine coming to Normal Heights
ChristyS, The official map does have an extension that goes north on that corridor from the 805 to Texas St. to Adams, but as a business owner I refer to our end of Adams Avenue as Antique Row if I am asked. Frankly we don't care what the "official" name of that part of Adams is. If you want to get into a lengthy discussion of words, go ahead and tell them that my business is in North Park. Everyone considers North Park to be University and 30th St. and folks have enough problems finding their way around town without getting more confused. We have nice green signs that designate that part of Adams as Antique Row. Why not just refer to it as Adams Avenue west?— September 26, 2012 10:45 p.m.
