Sweet deal
Jim Duffy as Sheriff, that would be good for San Diego County. We need a real Sheriff, not a veteran politician. We need someone who has the respect of the public. We need someone who isn’t afraid to tell a degenerate that he’s a dirt bag and he’s going to jail because he broke the law. Our country was formed and founded by men who were not afraid of being politically incorrect, men who spoke their mind, and men who spoke the truth whether you liked it or not. I have met three of the candidates; Duffy, LaSuer, and Gore. Of the three, Duffy is the only one who has the grit to do the job right. ------------------- “Has anyone noticed that San Diego is becoming a police state? ....While I have no problem with the SDPD, the sheriffs department is the biggest group of drop out morons in the state. They are completely unprofessional and have a dangerous cowboy style mentality. We need to act people.” By sdn8tv 2:36 a.m., Mar 29, 2008 > Report it ------------------- Start by not breaking the law. We (San Diego County) need to follow the example set by Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona. I know that this predominately left thinking state would be at its wits end with a Sheriff like that, but it's what we need. Our county is becoming worse and worse every day. Crime is up, but our politicians don’t report it. They order the police not to document certain crimes to keep the statistics down, or the DA reduces the charge to a lesser offense. Either way, it’s hiding the truth about the crimes that occur in our county. The men and women who work in law enforcement put their lives on the line every day so that the general public can feel safe. The majority of the general public has no idea of what a law enforcement officer experiences during a given day, much less during the span of their career. To call a deputy an unprofessional cowboy is ludicrous. Try to do their job before you speak. Our law enforcement officers could use more training, that’s true. More training would help to prevent injury and or death to officer and the public. More training would eventually reduce the numbers of arrests and crime. But, our Federal and State government officials continue to cut the budget for law enforcement while they increase spending for wildlife conservation, or the printing of government documents in every language. With this lack of training, the general public still thinks all law enforcement officers should react in the proper, politically correct manner to each and every situation. Our law enforcement officers need our support not our condemnation. Let’s face it, if the job was really that easy, local law enforcement agencies would not have a problem hiring qualified people to do the job. If the pay were as good as some want you to believe, personnel departments would look more like the DMV offices, with lines out the door. Vote for Duffy and tell our politicians to cut the budget on non-essential projects, not law enforcement.— May 28, 2009 5:17 a.m.
