Well, I promised you folks the recipe for the pasta dish I described in the last thread, so, here it is!
A) Chop up ham into flakes (it already comes pre-sliced, just cut the ham in the package into cubes), then put into saucepan.
B) "Coin-cut" sausage links (after cooking the sausage to firm up the skins), then cut each coin into quarters. Place in sauce pan.
C) Open jar of sauce, pour into pan, mix with meat.
D) Place pan with sauce onto burner, turn to high heat.
E) Put five quarts of water into pasta pot, put on burner, and mix canola oil in with water. Leave on high heat until boiling.
F) As soon as the sauce reaches boiling, lower heat to simmer and put 1/2 package of shredded cheese into sauce. Stir well, then switch heat off.
G) As soon as the "pasta water" boils, open pasta container and dump penne into water. Mix with spoon to coat the pasta with canola oil.
H) Boil pasta ten-twelve minutes, then drain and return to pot.
I) Mix in sauce, then let sit--covered--for ten minutes to finish cooking.
J) Serve immediately, or portion out for later use.
Tastes good hot-or-cold!
Beverage recommended: Almost anything you like. A good rose wine (for you wine sippers) like Blush Chablis, or Newcastle Brown Ale (for you beer drinkers).
Enjoy!
