Hear Hear! If no one else is listening to the pleas for action from a host of agencies, why not seek the attention of the Grand Jury? At a minimum, they could embarrass the hell out of agencies who seem not to paying attention.
VigilantinCV - I for one appreciate mko "stepping up, showing up and speaking up" on behalf of our students and common sense financial decisions. Where are the other movers and shakers of Chula Vista - is the education of the future leaders of America not important to them? Are they satisfied that their tax dollars are being spent wisely?
Here is an idea, perhaps we should consider mko for super - now I will go on record that he and I will surely not agree on all matters - but at least I would not have to worry about the corruption that is alleged against current district leadership.
Besides, with him we would all know what we are getting - a REAL FISCAL CONSERVATIVE - not a 'wanna b' - hmmmmmm, now who might I be referring to when I say 'wanna b'?
Frankly, the truth is rather sad: McCann knows the South Bay electorate and their overwhelming disregard for politics and elections. These and other antics did nothing more than further that sentiment among far too many. McCann knows that money and name i.d. in the South-bay are ALL you need -- period! Take the dollars; promote yourself and use these resources to destroy your opponent. However, the primary goal is to NOT have a serious opponent. The specter of campaign cash and a political will to do whatever causes our best and brightest to not engage in politics either as a candidate or a voter. Why is it so? Because most people don't take the time to study; read, and employ unbiased logic to validate decisions that are important to all of us.
I know I'm not going to make any friends with this comment, but please rant to your significant other and only then reply to timtim. Yes, everyone is watching (and reading) and I understand the frustration and anger (I feel it too!) but I think we alienate readers and community members with too much acrimony. We lose credibility if we sink to name calling and cursing. Don't take the bait. Don't waste your breath. Let's state the facts, repeat what may have been forgotten (thank you anniej for doing that) and continue to raise awareness. Maybe we could start our own blog to vent our frustrations with reckless abandon. I'm sure we could get pretty creative and have a good laugh, too.
