Glenn you guys are being way too sensitive to these shills. Look at what I wrote? Its all directly from Micheal's own website about himself.

The vicious criticisms are obvious attempts to smear facts about the GUY BEHIND THE RECALL!! Helloo!! This is a very valid question. Dont let these people bully you into backing away. I get that this is a blog. They KNOW this is a blog. they are trying to get at you by suggesting your rep is attached to this. Come on. This is classic bullying 101.

NTM need I remind you of the phrase "Thou doth protest too much".

and "thou doth protest too much" I mean towards them not towards you guys. I commend the SD Reader for being the LAST bastion of free speech in this town. Just follow the money behind every paper her...VOSD and KPBS...all Irwin jacobs....the UT...all Manchester/developer interests, etc. The Reader is the last independently owned media in SD.

I'm interested in the truth, as I think he's having his character assassinated the way Mike Aguirre did prior to the 2008 elections...and it's being done by the same people. The local media has hounded Filner since he was elected trying to get a scandal to stick...one finally did.

Historymatters,

Pallamary "supports" One Paseo. Is he paid for his services?

Also, why does he drag his grandchildren to rallies to recall Filner based on "sexual improprieties." To me it seems like poor judgment and poor taste to see Pallamary on stage with his granchildren. He should consult with a developmental psychologist to determine whether this is a form of child abuse. Kids have enough on their plates without being used as politics props in a sexual impropriety election recall campaign. Maybe gramps can cash in and leave money to his grandchildren. But why do young children have to be exposed to this.

This is a form of using grandchildren to make one appear to care about "family values." He has lost sight of the best interests of the children. Being a circus barker is not being a good grandfather.

Thanks, Historymatters, now I urge everyone to search the names of the accusers. So many connections to the Republicans, the tourist/hospitality industry...who are still mad about the room tax loss. Good source: Facebook. Too bad we don't have a "fair and balanced" (ha-ha) media in San Diego, who gives both sides of the story. You get Doug Manchester's side in the UT, and are left to research the other. Papa Doug, doesn't want gays to marry, but the year after he funded Prop. 8, and won, he divorced his wife of 30 years. This week, he puts his picture in the society page, with his lovely blond grandaught??, oh, says that's his date. I don't want him picking my mayor.

First thing I did, when this was on the news, was to read as much as I could about each of the accusers and those involved in the recall effort. There was a connection to the Tourist and Hotel industry or Developers or those who would have tax payers, pay for private profit...Doug Manchester and the Charger Stadium builders. Iriwin Jacobs and his parking structure in Balboa Park... Filner didn't realize that the mayor has to be a puppet, just like the Superintendent of Schools..Miss Marten..no ideas of your own, just follow the script..do what your master tells you. Voters don't count anymore. No Democracy here. No representation by our politicians. Just a Plutocracy, where the high rollers make decisions for their own profit. Corporations are "powerful" people, my friend. Sad for our city.

Wow. All the writer did was post known facts about the leader of the Recall Filner effort, and you'd think they were calling him the antiChrist. Granted, there's some speculation about Pallamary's motives thrown in, which seem to square with his background and interests, but no great suspension of disbelief required. Those of you who wish to believe he is volunteering to lead this massive undertaking out of the goodness of his heart, feel free to do so. I'd be more inclined to follow the money.

Really? Doesn't qualify as journalism? What does ??? The UT? Every main stream media outlet in the city has come out strongly against the mayor. I haven't read one article or seen a single news station that hasn't slanted this story to favor getting Filner out of office.
They're spoon feeding you their version of what is happening and those of you who qualify as sheep swallow it all up. At least this author has the balls to investigate what's going on and clarify it for you here. Piece it together people....its not that hard to do.

All of this info on MP is from his very own website??? what is inaccurate? Perhaps it needs to be corrected on his end.

historymatters July 31, 2013 @ 4:02 p.m.

"interviewing Mike"....ummmm this is all from his very OWN website...is he lying on his own website about himself? I mean I didnt really "write" anything. It is all from him. Why so sensitive? Did I hit a nerve? Do you not want people to know who you are Mike?

No one should acyually follow the money behind the recall effort should they? No everyone should just follow along like sheep and not ask a single question the way the MSM has done. Good God. Are we in Communist China or America? I am confused...

Ooops. Hey Dave what public records are you talking about? The ABC just told me "there is no such thing as a one year suspension." Who told you that? The ABC says they get their license back as soon as they get caught up with the sales tax the Board of Equalization says they owe. Then the ABC will return the license. It is suspended indefinitely, not for one year or any other time period. Also, while I am sure outside promoters would love Samantha from Bewitched to just twitch her nose and make a new all age venue just pop up, those independent promoters don't pay things like rent, payroll, energy bills, liquor/beer companies and sales tax. Bar sales pays the bills. Of course it would be good if Brick could simply start staging all age shows until they can get their liquor license back, but I am told that would not work...that they would have to surrender their 48 license and reapply with the city to become an all age music venue.

Actually, pheller, I absolutely do not like Mr. Hedgecock's politics, particularly his almost diabolical hatred of national Democratic politics, and THAT is why I would never support a candidate he backs. Not this article. This article just simply gave me an opportunity to voice an opinion. And the next commentator said it best: "With friends like Roger Hedgecock, Kevin Faulconer won't need enemies." And I do NOT need to grow up. I'm as grown up as I'll ever be, and do not really need childish admonishments.
