It’s heading for one in the mawnin’ and this place is popping…but in downtown Coronado?
They say Coronado’s usually dead by nine, except for one or two bars like Danny's.
Not from now on. We're about 100 yards from the Hotel Del. Right here in the half-underground space where Wendy’s used to be, The Tavern (1310 Orange Avenue) opened its doors last weekend.
The thing is, it’s open till two every night. And the kitchen’s open till midnight. Maybe later, later. Tonight's late night menu includes simple comfort food like two grilled seabass tacos for $5, wings for $7 and half pounder burgers for $11 (and yes, unlike Burger Lounge and other upscale burgeries, these burgers come with fries).
