Vintage waterside eatery serves seafood and steaks of uneven quality. Start with clams on the half-shell or clam chowder. Coconut shrimp entrée is a good, guilty pleasure; finfish fare less well. Low-moderate.

My friend worked for the Harbor Police, and he once said to me, "It took me many times of coming here, before I could decide if I liked it or not."
The few times I had lunch there, I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. Great view of the boats, too.
I bought my mom a gift certificate there, when I got her tickets for Humphrey's down the block (for that concert, Neville Brothers, they ran out of dinner packages). And...my mom ran into problems using the certificate. And, she didn't care for the food.
Oh well.

My husband and I used to eat breakfast here all the time. We hadn't been to Red Sails in months. We went today and the food was terrible. Granted we only had the oatmeal, but it was bad. How do you screw up oatmeal? And the coffee was watered down.
We won't be eating here again.
