Darling of the media for its hipster qualities (Edison bulbs and mason jars), this Convoy Street ramen hut makes its mark with a chicken-based broth, in contrast to the porky tonkotsu ramen that's more familiar to most. Their noodle soup is good, surprisingly fatty, and with a more delicate flavor than pure-pork ramen. Fear not, the kitchen offers "regular" noodle soup too, and a dish of "tsukemen," which is like a ramen noodle soup, but with the noodles served on the side. It's 80% annoying to build your own soup (without the delight of on-the-table
hotpot cooking), but the extra fat noodles are fun. Avoid the ramen burger, because it's a waste of time compared to the very good soups.
