Boy, is this a fun couple or what?

Jongo Park and his wife Brenda make their place, O’Bistro more like a club.

Strangers at the counter get chatting within minutes. Also, dogs welcome.

Brenda comes around offering samples, like bits of a gorgonzola flatbread pizza that’s to die for, with roasted garlic and rosemary on a cracker-thin crust. The whole pizza’s $9.50.

So, okay, this place isn’t the cheapest. Dishes usually cost around what the lentil, chickpea, and vegetable vegan stew over basmati rice goes for: $12.95.

But delve into the menu a bit and you come up with scrumptious bargains: a bowl of clam chowder, $6.95. The executive chef John Mann is famous for his recipe, my neighbor tells me.
