The main goal of the instructors is to satisfy the clients specific needs and physical goals. Their motto is "Pain is not your reward". Be very careful of studios that use words like "High Impact" and "Extreme". These workouts fall outside the fundamental basis of what Joseph Pilates intended when he invented this type of physical conditioning. Pilates should be used to lean and strengthen muscles while building upon a balanced and supported skeletal structure. Working out to fatigue invites injury and defeats the purpose of what Pilates is meant to accomplish.
