Municipal Pool: When was the last time you swam at the La Mesa pool? My siblings and I learned to swim at the pool located at 5100 Memorial Drive. I was pleasantly surprised to learn it's open year-round, and the pool is heated (80-82 degrees), according to the City website. The spa water temperature is 100-102 degrees. Watch the Events listings on this page for details about special events. For info about ongoing pool activities and admission costs, call 667-1494 or go to http://www.cityoflamesa.com/index.aspx?NID=915.
Not since I was in a daddy-and-tot swimming class with my daughter 9 years ago.
I'm disappointed that the La Mesa pool doesn't have a kid's swim team or water polo team.
Good news, there are some programs, but maybe not the age groups that you want. Here are some of the monthly programs offered at the La Mesa Pool: Pee Wee Swim Team (ages 3-5): Begins April 1, 2013; Youth Water Polo (ages 8 & up): Begins April 2, 2013, and Dolphins Special Olympics Swim Team: 10 am-11:30 am Saturday. There's also Watercise & Water Walking: Call 667-1494 for information.
