The Beauty Bar has really come full circle. I am a veteran of the bar and nightclub industry and frequent many local bars in the San Diego area. I was not a fan of the Beauty Bar under previous management. The service was some of the worst I have had in San Diego. The bartenders were rude and slow and the management was not concerned with customer happiness more such interested in partying and taking care of their personal guests. I went a few times for certain events and after continuous bad service I quit going to the bar. That was until new management took over and changed the atmosphere greatly. It is one of the premiere spots to see a live show and hosts some of San Diego's most talented DJ's. The bar staff has been upgraded with a veteran bartending staff well known in the community. I now feel like I can enjoy a good drink, served with a smile as well as catch a killer show.
