Heal the Bay releases annual report on San Diego beaches

Mast Park in Santee must be relatively new. I never knew it existed until this week when I was visiting Santee Lakes for the first time in many years and passed the entrance, then doubled back to take a look. It is the largest park in Santee with 26 and a half acres currently developed with a plan to eventually increase it to 58 acres. There's a playground and an arbor covered picnic area, but the best thing about this park is the massive wooded area that seems to go on into infinity. I felt like I was in the Sherwood Forest. If you really want to get away from it all and still be right in your own back yard visit Mast Park. You can even bring your horse if you have one.
