Archcathedral Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul on the Cathedral Island/Ostrow Tumski in Poznan (where the first Polish bishopric was established in 968). This is a burial place of 8 Polish dukes and kings from the Piast dynasty: Mesko I, Boleslaus the Brave, Mesko II, Casimir the Restorer, Ladyslaus the Spitter, Premislaus I, Boleslaus the Pious, and Premislaus II. The Golden Chapel (dome with the Cross directly opposite to the Archbishops Palace) became the mausoleum of Duke Mesko I and King Boleslaus the Brave. The Gothic Church of Our Lady (after rebuilding of the Mesko Palatium in the 15th century) stands in the immediate vicinity of both the Cathedral and the Psalter House (on the far side of the street). Archdiocese Museum is situated in the former Lubranski College.
