Burch better but not quite good enough yet
David Dodd 1:48 a.m., May 18
Markers of historic graves beneath San Diego Avenue outside Old Town's Campo Santo ("holy field"), at 2410 San Diego Avenue, between Arista and Ampudia Streets. The graves of up to 20 men, women, and children were paved over when San Diego Avenue was bulldozed through the bottom of the cemetery. It wasn't until 1993 that ground-penetrating radar located the bodies.
