Situated at the entrance to the school, Blayney Tower serves as the unofficial symbol of Mira Costa College. It was donated by Dana and Eleanor Blayney as a memorial to their son, Robert Monroe Blayney, who was killed in action in France while serving his country, on Dec. 11, 1944.
