This poison oak in Marian Bear Park in San Clemente Canyon is beautiful, but potentially deadly. If you visit the park, stay on the trails! Poison oak is everywhere and lots of it is right on the edge of the trails. Know what it looks like and steer clear. At this time of year, early spring, most of the poison oak is still green and does not yet have many of the telltale red leaves. Beware. Recite this rhyme to help you remember what poison oak looks like, "Leaves of three, let it be."
