March 23, 1953 - February 5, 2017

Anthony Charles Ligutti (Tony),of Chula Vista, California, passed away on February 5, 2017 from cancer at the age of 63. Tony was born in Des Moines, Iowa on March 23, 1953. He graduated from Chula Vista High School. He married Kathy Yamada in 1975 and they had two sons. He later married Nancy Hunter on September 24, 1988 and they were married for 28 years. Most recently, Tony worked as a mechanic for SUHS District for15 years and retired in 2015. He enjoyed buying rusty old vehicles and rebuilding them. He was active in off roading events with his jeeps, motorcycles, and remote control cars.Tony is survived by his wife Nancy, his father Gene, his sister Kathleen, his son Joseph and daughter-in-law Kelli, his son David and girlfriend Genevieve, and his stepson Patrick and daughter-in-law Nan. In respect of Tony's request there will not be a funeral service and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society .
