A DISTILLERY NOW IN TEMECULA'S WINE COUNTRY! Alex's Red Barn Winery has long been known for its premium estate wines, some of them OLD VINE, that is from vines over 50 years old. Now they also are a DISTILLERY distilling fine brandies from their grapes. Among these are triple distilled Cognac style brandy, Pastis, i.e. anise and licorice flavored brandy, 100 proof, Grappa,triple distilled from Moscato grapes, and White Pastis, an Arak style brandy with aromas of anise. Alex's Red Barn Winery and Distillery, at 39820 Calle Contento, is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 until 6.
