Hearing an owl almost every night around dusk. Sounds like it's coming from the eucalyptus grove in the canyon where Elm Street dead-ends into the trailhead at Bancroft.
So cool!

Haven't heard the owl, but this reminds me that I haven't heard that rooster over on Felton Street in awhile. I mentioned it to my neighbor, and he told me that they sent a petition around asking the owner to get rid of it. So sad. I loved that rooster!

Was over by Golden Hill Elementary the other day and noticed a house for sale for $900,000. It's listed by Sothebys!
Guess real estate in South Park is making a comeback?

This is priced too high, about twice the avg for the street. A La Jolla developer-flipper picked this up cheaply and rebuilt it so that it now has a suburb-style yawning garage door facing the street. It has that sickly fertilizer-green lawn that developers think is necessary. Anyone who pays the flipper price will find themselves under water soon enough. History repeats. If it goes for a bit more than $5K, the flipper will be lucky and still make a great profit.
