Borrego Springs is my favorite place to be! Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is the most beautiful place I've ever been to, and has so many places to see and explore!

We were blown away this Easter while camping with our off-road vehicles out near Borrego Springs in Ocotilla Wells – the wind gusts were so volatile that Easy-Ups were snapping (including ours and our camping neighbors) and campers were taking cover inside their trailers from getting pelleted with dirt and traveling debris. We like to camp at Holmes Camp, and when we first arrived Saturday about noon, the weather was hot and perfect. But by late afternoon the wind started and never stopped until we packed up on Easter Sunday and headed home a day early. It was nearly impossible to BBQ, have a campfire or egg hunt, and the clouds of dust that swirled on the trails made even riding difficult. We weren’t the only ones to leave, as many riders and campers loaded up and deserted the desert. I later learned that a wind advisory for March 31 in Borrego Springs, Campo and Julian was warning to expect high winds and gusts to 45 MPH. Did anyone else lose anything to the wind?
