The Art of Survival: Personal Stories of Mental Illness

A photographic and interpretive art exhibition. Each piece is created using succulents and repurposed objects, each telling a story of recovery. Featured art will be auctioned or available to attendees for a donation to the Meeting Place Clubhouse, a nonprofit organization.

Archaeologist Susan Walter describes her experiences excavating the Warner’s Trading Post site in eastern San Diego. The site’s location had been lost for years, which is surprising, considering the importance it played to Southern Overland Trail immigrants and the dramatic incident that ended its use after a mere two years.
