Using simple materials and techniques inspired by those used more than 600 years ago, decorate a 14-inch-wide fabric with designs using textile paint and brushes. Learn about the significance of certain motifs, patterns, and color that reveal the wearer’s gender, age, status, wealth, and taste in traditional Japanese kimono.
