It's being billed as "Love and agony, Shakespeare style," when National Theatre Live! and Broadway HD bring the Bard to the big screen at Reading Cinemas Gaslamp 15.

Reading Gaslamp

701 Fifth Avenue, Downtown San Diego

Based on the life of legendary Roman leader Caius Marcius Coriolanus, the Shakespearean tragedy, Coriolanus, screens twice: Thursday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. This is not the Ralph Fiennes version that came out a few years back, but an entirely new staging by the Donmar Warehouse starring Tom Hiddleston (War Horse) in the lead and Mark Gatiss (BBC’s Sherlock) as Menenius. The 180 minute production will be presented with one intermission. Use the time to move your car in and out of Horton Plaza to avoid paying for parking.

And just in time to miss Valentine's Day, Romeo and Juliet will be presented on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. The first Broadway staging of the romance classic in over 30 years stars Orlando Bloom opposite Tony nominee Condola Rashad.

In addition to the complete performance, the HD broadcasts feature behind the scenes footage and interviews with cast and crew members. Tickets are $20 per show. Readingcinemasus.com for more information.
