FLICKS ON THE BRICKS: THE BIG EASY
The film and wine series “Flicks on the Bricks” takes place on the outdoor patio for balmy summer nights and screenings of classic cinemas al fresco. Dennis Quaid stars as a tough, fast-talking New Orleans police detective who isn’t above accepting free meals from all-too-obliging restaurants. Ellen Barkin stars as a pretty, sexually repressed assistant district attorney, assigned to investigate police corruption. Paired with Big Easy Red Malbec and Bawdy Bubbles King Creole Surprise. NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: RIPLEY’S BELIEVE IT OR NOT! SLEEPOVER
A museum sleepover for adventurers and explorers ages 7–12. When the lights go out, kids will search for a lost treasure and explore the galleries by flashlight, and as the stars begin to shine, they’ll watch a movie screening. One adult over the age of 21 is required for every 1–3 children attending, and no adult can be admitted without accompanying a child. Cost includes admission into the museum, flashlight tours, hands-on activities, movie screening, and evening and breakfast snacks. Please bring a full stomach (no dinner will be served), sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, camera, toothbrush and toothpaste, warm pajamas, solid-sole shoes, and any medications. $39–$45.
