The Save Syrian Children contingent of the Syrian American Council marched in Balboa Park today, November 17. For the past two years, the group has held demonstrations to draw attention to the ongoing civil war in Syria.

According to a CNN report two days ago, the Violations Documentation Center says more than 37,000 people have been killed during the conflict.  The regime of Bashar al-Assad continues to wage war against the Free Syrian Army and the Syrian people.

Amnesty International recently uncovered evidence of the detention and torture of Syrian children by Assad’s security forces.

This photo has been turned into a poster by the Syrian American Council to raise awareness of the plight of Syrian children
