Eva Knott 4:04 a.m., May 23
At 1 p.m. on June 27, one mile south of the border, near Tierra del Sol, a fire broke out and was being blown toward the U.S. side of the border by winds pushing it northeast at 10 to 15 mph. CalFire and federal firefighter scout units monitored the situation to see if the fire would cross the border.
