On August 16 at 8 a.m., the first of 111 towers for the Ocotillo Wind Energy Project arrived via trucks passing through the small community of Ocotillo.

Traffic was halted as the trucks had to make multi-point turns to negotiate curves on SR-2.

The project is still subject to various court challenges sponsored by residents and Native American groups who are attempting to prevent the installations.

Thank you William. So sorry to hear what they insist on doing but beside the point, good story!

Not only the great report by 'William.'

(photog) Park, being undercredited. As many of SDR's photogs are never thanked enuff, via their names. How many SDcounty residents, among tv viewers, etc -- have already seen the windmill generators. FROM THIS ANGLE/PERSPECTIVE. This is as exclusive as us newsviewers, who listen/watch C-span.

I say my above, originating as an old-school 35mm black/white photographer.

Of what virgil said for Ocotillo: I hate to say of any predicted future activity As announcement of my prediction -- may just cause jeopardy.
