John Alan Paul, the Bonsall man who was caught growing $200,000 of marijuana while San Diego Sheriff’s deputies were conducting a probation sweep, has pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana for sale, the North County Times reports.

Paul was on probation for methamphetamine possession when deputies visited his home and conducted an unwarranted search of the property – forfeiture of his fourth amendment protection from unreasonable search and seizure was a term of his probation.

It’s expected that Paul will be sentenced to 16 months in prison, with the sentence to be served at a local jail. Sentencing is scheduled for September 25.
