CARDIFF-BY-THE-SEA CELEBRATES 100 YEARS
Festivities begin with a parade — led by grand marshal Marion Ross — that will travel from the Cardiff Post Office to Glen Park in Encinitas to enjoy vendors, games, live music, food, and a historical exhibit from Friends of the Cardiff-by-the-Sea Library and the San Dieguito Heritage Museum.
The San Diego Junior Theatre presents this “musical journey with two fun-seeking amphibians who could not be more different from each other, yet remain the best of friends,” based on Newbery and Caldecott–awarded books by Arnold Lobel.

A Bit o’ Burlesque presents its Burlesque and Cabaret Extravaganza at the Community Actors Theatre. This dance company aims to deliver “sassy, saucy, and humorous entertainment.”

Celebrate in turn-of-the-century style with rides on the Poway-Midland Railroad and mock train robberies and gunfights. Also, see model trains on display, blacksmiths making iron and forging metal into tools, hear live music throughout the day, and kids can partake in a variety of activities.
The Fourth of July is not complete without rocket’s red glare and the latest in firework technology. Fireworks will be launched simultaneously from barges placed off Shelter Island, Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, the Coronado Ferry Landing, and Imperial Beach.
