Shortly after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, numerous police cars arrived at the corner of University Avenue and 58th Street. After blocking off 58th Street, police cordoned off a block of apartments on the corner and shone a spotlight onto upstairs windows.

Residents were told to stay inside their apartments as armed officers positioned themselves behind parked vehicles. A total of 14 police cars were present, and helicopters hovered overhead. An officer with a megaphone ordered a man by the name of Thomas to come out of an apartment with his hands in the air, but there was no sign of him.

After two hours, police appeared to enter the apartment and then leave without any further disturbance.
