Whether you are hiking the stunning Olympic rainforest or hunting down vampires, Forks is a popular place to be. In the summer of 2008, I went on a road trip to Forks. After reading the novel Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, I was intrigued by the town and excited to travel back to one of my favorite places, Washington.
If you only have a day or several hours, head to these places first:
Forks Chamber of Commerce
Want info on the best hiking trails? They have it. Wondering where you can find the Twilight hot spots? They have that too. Here you can pick up a VERY detailed (and free) map that locates all the Twilight-related spots in town. Don't forget to sign the guestbook!
Forks Geocache
One of the best-kept secrets in Forks (besides where you can find Edward). Go on an expedition to find the hidden Geocache. Visit geocaching.com, the name of the Cache is "Forks Geocache.”
La Push
Just a quick 15-minute drive from Forks, La Push is home to several picture-perfect beaches. Bring a lunch and relax watching the surfers ride the waves.
All this washington talk...in another blog too. it's true, it is beautiful here. i live in issaquah, quite near seattle, and this is where i would want to be if i didn't want to be back in san diego so bad :) great information!
