I picked up the Reader this morning (6/18/09) and tried to work the Puzzle. Am I going cross-eyed or is this Puzzle messed up?

How do we work this puzzle if the numbers are all wrong, Across and Down?

Do we get a pass this week?

jenhugs June 18, 2009 @ 12:05 p.m.

I KNOW! I was so bummed. Thursday is my puzzle day. There is no way to solve this week's puzzle. It's a total fluster cuck.

A friend of mine here at the office called the Reader and they confirmed it was a mess. So we get a pass this week... interesting to see who would try and do this puzzle! LOL!

Willie_McGee June 18, 2009 @ 2:09 p.m.

OK! I nailed it. I have all the clues answered! Please fax the boxes to put them in.

I so love the Reader crossword, I'm bummed too. Though I'm more disappointed that my 10th correct entry was omitted this week.

Congrats Evan on your 8th grade graduation! On to high school!

wordnerd June 19, 2009 @ 8:33 a.m.

I love crossword puzzles and have done some with amazing twists. This one had me so boggled I thought I would go crazy. So glad it wasn't me!

0

etcage June 19, 2009 @ 5:42 p.m.

Looks like they put in the grid to a different puzzle. (Maybe next weeks?)

Anyway, it's not really to hard to solve as a "gridless" crossword. Just make a 15 by 15 blank grid, and put in the numbers and black squares as you go.

If anyone wants the correct grid or the solution, email me at deantpetty[at]yahoo.com

joyf June 20, 2009 @ 12:18 a.m.

I thought it was some sort of crazy puzzle theme. Thank goodness. At least I still got my sudoku!

julieozz June 23, 2009 @ 12:16 p.m.

Anyone get June 18th's puzzle??? No, that's because there was a HUGE error

0

walks June 26, 2009 @ 3:14 p.m.

Editor's error?? And I thought they were just making it a little challenging! Well, no t-shirts this week, so does that mean 10 next week?
