Hollywood, as you know, is about 2 hours away from San Diego, approximately 125 miles north.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame, embedded in the sidewalk along both sides of Hollywood Boulevard from Gower Street to La Brea, and on Vine Street from Yucca Street to Sunset Boulevard, not only honors celebrities of film, TV and radio, but also pays tribute to musicians, comedians and other stars. Look for your favorite!

Grauman’s Chinese Theater, dating back to 1927, hosts most of the Hollywood studio premieres, where fans flock to see the stars walk up the red carpet. In the forecourt, you can place your hand in the handprints of countless celebrities from Myrna Loy to Cameron Diaz, from Cary Grant to Hugh Jackman.

Down the street, Grauman’s Egyptian Theater, now the American Cinemateque, a state-of-the-art showcase theater, hosts various film festivals, seminars, sneak previews and special events.

Dine next door at the famous Pig ‘n Whistle Restaurant. Do a Hollywood tour. Stay at Motel 6, off Hollywood Boulevard, on Whitley Avenue, for clean affordable rooms.
