puzzeled April 2, 2009 @ 3:02 p.m.

Two weeks in a row with two individuals winning T-shirts their second time. This brings the total to six double winners since January. And, since winning once does not apparently lessen the chances of winning addition times, mathematically it is correct to note that this week the odds of winning, if you have already made 10, 11, or 12 successful entries, are 1 in 118. The chances if this was your first entry: 1 in 7.

I checked my working copy of the 26 March puzzle and got 'em all right, and slid it in the slot last Friday morning. What did I transpose such that I missed getting my name listed as a contender and manage NOT to impress my friends? Entry under: Jim Piburn, Point Loma

Love the puzzle...always have.

Hey "Puzzeled" -- I'm puzzled.

"Mathematically it is correct" that upon entering -- assuming you have a correct entry -- that your chances are one in the-amount-of-other-correct entries.

Each week is new.

I sent in last week's (3/26) puzzle, via email, but I wasn't listed as a winner. I checked my answer carefully today to be sure it was all correct, and it was. It would have been #9 for me. I was so bummed that I didn't send this week's entry.
