After seven months in operation, downtown's House of Blues is saying goodbye to general manager Jim Biofore and Kyle Svanda, assistant director of venue operations.

Insiders who do not work for House of Blues speculate that the departures are a reaction to the club "underperforming." The other HoB venues are in L.A., Anaheim, Chicago, Cleveland, Myrtle Beach, Orlando, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Atlantic City.

An employee says the local HoB often struggles to draw audiences on weekdays. A recent Bouncing Souls concert (on Sunday, December 11) brought in fewer than 100 fans.

Calls to Biafore and other local HoB execs were not returned. An HoB employee who answered the phone said Biafore had planned to leave and that his replacement from Atlantic City would take over in February. "We will be general manager--less for a couple weeks."
