Highway 905

You're heading south on the 805 to hear your favorite band at Coors when the traffic becomes a sea of red brake lights. The show starts in 20 minutes and you're only at the Palm Avenue exit. Don't despair -- just move over to the far-left lane and drive on by. Even though the stage is only 2.2 miles from the sign that says "Amphitheater exit," drive south two more exits to Highway 905. Head toward Junction East to the Brown Field exit. Go left at Heritage Road. You'll pass industrial warehouses and dirt roads reminiscent of Tijuana. When you hit Otay Valley Road, go right. Take a left into the first parking lot. Your total mileage from the Palm Avenue exit is 4.5 miles, and you're in your seat for the opening band's first tune.
