Seaforth's location on Mission Bay is superior to anything on San Diego Bay for kayaking. You can take a dip in the water to cool off or paddle up onto one of the many beaches around the bay. (San Diego Bay has few beaches and swimming is prohibited.) And from Seaforth's rental yards, kayakers can easily paddle under the West Mission Bay Drive bridge and into Sail Bay, a cove on the west side of the bay where powerboats and personal watercraft must stay below five miles per hour. That makes for safe and peaceful paddling. Four hours for a single-paddler, ride-on-top kayak will cost you $30. A tandem is $45.
