An ex-quarterback with the Chargers has gone to bat for an old friend in Kansas City. John Hadl, a former All-American at the University of Kansas, has written a letter to a federal court judge asking leniency for his fellow alum, Lynn L. McCarthy, who pled guilty to a charge of racketeering conspiracy, reports the Kansas City Star .
