Glen Cleaners
3190 Adams Avenue,
Normal Heights
(619) 282-0241

Spot removal and enlightenment. All cleaning and pressing is done on the premises. They don't mash jacket lapels into a knife edge, they gently roll them. Sleeves are stuffed with tissue. Soft pleats flow. Shoulder seams are pressed to retain their human form. Give Glen an old dress or suit, a forgotten remnant from the back of the closet, and you will have new respect for the garment when you get it back. But be advised, they're closed on all Baha'i holy days. They provide a list for your convenience. On a side table in the shop lie Fabricare Institute pamphlets, flyers on Glen's wedding-gown preservation service ("our specialty"), and booklets on the Baha'i faith ("The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens.") The small shop is sunny, the plastic plants never dusty, lace curtains hang in the window, and there's fresh candy in a dish on the counter.
