Touch of Pink

Rhymes with That Touch of Mink. And on cue, Kyle MacLachlan essays a nervy impersonation of Cary Grant, an impossible assignment (almost the first words out of his mouth are misinformed: "I first died when I made The Pride and the Passion in '59," actually '57), but carried out well enough for the role of fairy godfather, invisible friend, to a homosexual Indian, in a humdrum indie, who has not yet confided his secret to his domineering mother. A pale imitation of Cary is the best entertainment on view. With Jimi Mistry, Kristen Holden-Reid, Suleka Mathew; written and directed by Ian Iqbal Rashid. 2004.
