Jon Lorenz and Colleen Kollar Smith, creators of this revue of 1980s music, say that favorite songs "mark your memories." miXtape is performed with rampant energy and polish by an eight-person cast. Memory-triggers zip past: Pet Rocks, Pac-Man, Nelson Mandela, AIDS. Most of the songs are actually song-bites. But backed by Andy Ingersoll's versatile band and under Kerry Meads's feisty direction, miXtape is always entertaining — and memory-provoking.
