Cancer Screening in the Underserved
The Institute for Behavioral and Community Health and the San Diego State University/UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center Partnership are proud to announce the second event in their combined Distinguished Lecture Series: Innovations in Cancer Disparities Research. All events in this series are free and open to the public. Join students, alumni, faculty/staff and community members as we welcome Gloria Coronado, PhD, from the Kaiser Permanente Center for Heath Research. Dr. Coronado is an epidemiologist who conducts research on health disparities related to cancer prevention among underserved populations. She designs and evaluates clinic-based interventions to improve participation in cancer prevention screening and diagnostic follow-up among patients at Latino-serving community health clinics.
