The Greater San Diego Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Angela Yeung presents Dvorak's New World Symphony and two winners of the 2017 Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) Concerto Competition. Division I winner Justin Lee (age 10) will perform the first movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto in D minor, K466. Division III winner Michael Chen (age 16) will perform the third movement of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, "Emperor." The concert will begin with the Spring Festival Overture by Chinese composer Li Huanzhi. Grand finale will be Dvorak's New World Symphony. Raffle tickets ($2 ea.) will be sold with raffle winners sitting on stage in the orchestra for the Dvorak.
