The Reid Lecture is an annual public lecture geared toward showing a broad audience the beauty of mathematics. The event is open to the San Diego community, especially engaged high school and college students and community members with interests in science. This year's speaker is Professor Alice Silverberg of the University of California Irvine, who will give a talk entitled Cryptography: Using Mathematics to Keep a Secret. The lecture will be in the University Student Union (USU) Ballroom on the CSU San Marcos campus. Limited amount of free parking is available.
