Family Day at the San Diego Bird Festival

Family Day takes place on the final day of the four-day San Diego Bird Festival with presentations, guided field trips, hands-on activities, and up-close encounters with feathered, furry, scaly, and six- and eight-legged friends including hawks, falcons, parrots, owls, reptiles, scorpions, and insects. Kids can build a birdhouse with Home Depot, make a birdbath for a fairy garden, and test their vocal chords in a wild bird calling contest with “The Bird Call Lady.” Attending organizations include The Raptor Institute, Zovargo, Living Coast Discovery Center, The San Diego River Park Foundation, Animal Behavior International, and Project Wildlife.
