Women In Light: A Perspective — Opening Reception
1081 16th Street, V-Building, 5th floor, San Diego, 92101
Cost: Free
A "perspective" is a collaborative effort of photographers to define women beyond the standard stereotypes. We are in a time where women are being tested, stretched, called to action, and forced to question the invisible confinements of our nation and world. Women in Light is a movement for equality, a stand for civil rights that includes being mother, teacher, wife, caregiver, sister, friend, grandmother, or lover. Women can be all of these, yet not be limited by any role. The collection of work is not “redefining” women, but expanding the definition—showing the many perspectives of how women see themselves and others. Contact: [email protected]. Exhibit runs through March 24, 2017.
