Rise of Nursing in the U. S. Civil War
3001 School Lane, Lemon Grove, 91945
Age Limit: 18+
Cost: Free
The Lemon Grove Historical Society presents master nurse Donna Vitale Lupinacci and her riveting lecture, "The Rise of Nursing During the U. S. Civil War." In words and pictures, the grim world of the war, with its suffering, filth, new weaponry, and millions dead, comes alive through the story of untrained, volunteer women who struggled to save lives and ultimately bring the new profession of nursing into being. Lupinacci is a former military nurse who knows whereof she speaks. This special edition of "History Alive" is not to be missed. Information: 619-460-4353.
