Commemorate 68 years of Al Nakba (the Catastrophe), which is what Palestinians call Israel’s Independence Day. Learn firsthand about what happened to the Palestinians when Israel was founded from people who lived through the experience.
The commemoration features eyewitness testimony of survivors, screening of the short film Ismail, inspired by the Palestinian painter Ismail Shammout, music by Naima Shalhoub, and keynote address by Dr. Jamal Nassar.
